what is the meaning of Family in Engalnd Law?

hi,I want to know what is more important the social parents or the physical parents,I’d like to know how your Family Law define the family!
Do they call the parents who just raise the child the parents?or the child’s parent should be genetically too?

I think that in English law the people responsible for the conception and birth of a child have the legal standing of parent. If the caregivers of the child are different to the parents, then in law they are referred to as guardians. This of course is a legal state only, the child may well be brought up calling others parents to save long and lengthy explanations.
