where online can i find New York state family law statues?
Iv been looking on and can not find any new york state family law statues..i really need a lil help my husband is taking his ex back to court to lower his child support and get visitation, and we can not afford a lawyer so we need to do all the research for court.
Most of family law in NY is not statutory, and it won’t help you a whole lot if you get the statutes…
To get a modification in child support, your husband will have to show a significant change in circumstances..this can be proven by a permanent reduction in his income…Or a permanent increase in the mother’s income..
After you have proven this threshold fact, then child support will be calculated by the statutory format.
