The basic guideline for allimony is the level of the lifestyle that the couple lived. It has to be maintaine to a certain degree. People who live lavishly and can afford it usually pays a higher allimony than people who live "normal". Child support is dependent on the income of the person paying the child support. There is a schedule that is followed by state you live in. Check on that through an attorney.
