can handcuffs be used when a judge gets angry at you in family law court?

A judge in family law court got angry at me today and held me in contempt and then ordered the bailiff to put me in handcuffs. can he legally do this?

Put it this way, he can order you to be handcuffed AND arrested right there on the spot. He’s a judge silly. People visit his courtroom so he can determine a proper sentence. Doesn’t matter why you are there. If he feels like putting you in handcuffs or even throwing you in jail he can. Be thankful that’s all the judge did. Did you also know that if you are LATE to court, the judge can put a warrant out for you? Yes, I’ve seen it.

Of course he can. He can even put you in shakles if he thinks you’re a flight risk.

Yeah, if you were unruly or were presenting a threat to the court. Probably not your smartest move.
